2023 CF Woodcrafters’ Contribution to CFSSP

A pair of

“Stiletto” hall or sofa tables, 36″ long, 12″ wide, 30″ high built for the CFSSP Silent Auction raised $2350.00 for the program. One table had a Black walnut top, cherry legs, flame white ash aprons and the other table had an Ambrosia maple top, black walnut legs, and cherry aprons. Doug Kish was the Project Lead with assistance from Thomas Hills, Diane Adler-Wailes, Peter Hale, and Paco Candal. Lumber was generously donated by 3 Oak Handcrafted, Brevard, NC (https://www.3oakhandcrafted.com/).

2022 CF Woodcrafters’ Contribution to CFSSP

A pair of red cedar Adirondak rocking chairs built for the CFSSP Silent Auction raised $750.00 for the program. The Project Lead was Thomas Hills with assistance from Diane Adler-Wailes with band saw work and sanding. Heidi Witmer wood burned the original designs onto the tops of the rocking chairs and applied an outdoor finish. Wood and materials were generously donated by Jennings Builders Supply and Hardware (https://www.jenningswnc.com/).

2021 CF Woodcrafters’ Contribution to CFSSP

Locust Live Edge Outdoor Bench built for the CFSSP Silent Auction raised $1600.00 for the program. The Project Lead was Bob Speight with assistance from Diane Adler-Wailes and Thomas Hills with construction of the bench. Bob Speight and Thomas Hills pictured carrying lumber to the shop and processing the lumber with a planer prior to construction. Lumber was generously donated by 3oak Handcrafted (https://www.3oakhandcrafted.com/).

2020 CF Woodcrafters’ Contribution to CFSSP

A pair of Red Cedar Adirondack Outdoor Chairs with Tray Tables built for the CFSSP Silent Auction raised $1500.00 for the program. The Project Lead was Thomas Hills and original art design with woodburning done by Heidi Witmer. Bob Speight and Diane Adler-Wailes provided assistance with the construction of the chairs. Wood and materials were generously donated by Jennings Builders Supply and Hardware (https://www.jenningswnc.com/).

2019 CF Woodcrafters’ Contribution to CFSSP

Mahogany Outdoor Bench built for the CFSSP Silent Auction raised $2500.00 for the program. The Project Lead was Bob Speight and original art design with woodburning was done by Heidi Witmer. On behalf of the Connestee Falls Student Scholarship Program, we would like to express our appreciation of the Connestee Falls Woodcrafters contribution to the overall success of the 2015 fund-raising efforts. The success of the Scholarship program is dependent on the collective efforts of Connestee Falls residents, volunteers, and the many organizations within Connestee Falls that help with this endeavor.
